Thing number one is, you gotta figure out who is your niche, right? Who’s the market?

If you think that you’re gonna train people from 8-80, male and female, that’s not going to happen.

Let me tell you why: that’s a very shotgun approach to marketing, and all great marketing is about laser-like approach.

If you can specialize, you can become an expert to a niche market. You want a market that is uniquely suited to you, so it might be stay at home moms, it might be young athletes, it might be busy executives.

How to Reach Your Full Potential in Your Fitness Business

I’m going to tell you that you and me and German Shepherds have a lot in common.

Yeah.

You, me, and German Shepherds have a lot in common.

Here’s what I mean: I’ve got this beautiful dog. She weighs about 100 pounds. Her name is Cookie. She’s part German Shepherd and part American Mastiff.

Now here’s what we know about Cookie, and all German Shepherds for that matter: they require a routine.

If a German Shepherd does not have a daily routine, or a purpose, it starts to fall into a depression.

Very much like German Shepherd dogs, you and I require the same thing. Our purpose, our life’s work, our gift, is the thing that’s going to keep us going and keep us out of the depths of despair.

Do you understand that?

That’s why I say you and I have a lot in common with the German Shepherd, because believe it or not, if we are not living our life’s purpose, if we are not pursuing our true gift, then we’re going to eventually get depressed.
