Do Any of These 55 IF’s Sound Familiar?

I don’t know about you, but I believe in the law of attraction. deptlameexcusestshirt

I was on my way back from Phoenix yesterday and wanted to write you a killer blog post. My plan was to knock one out in the plane.

Typically I can come up with killer blog posts pretty easily, but I was having some kind of writers block this time around. I opened up my mac book and I had nothing.

Maybe it’s because I gave so much at the 25K group mastermind meeting this weekend or maybe it’s because I was just REALLY exhausted from the weekend in general… but I had nothing to write.

So instead, I popped in my ear buds and started listening to random tracks on my ipod and that’s when it happened….

…the second track that played was from Napoleon Hill’s “think and grow rich” and the track was entitled “FIFTY-FIVE” FAMOUS ALIBIS FROM OLD MAN “IF.”

Think and Grow Rich is one of those book where each time I read it (or in this case listen to it) I pick up something new and profound.

And as soon as I heard it, I know I had to share it with you.

Here it is… enjoy.

“FIFTY-FIVE” FAMOUS ALIBIS FROM OLD MAN “IF.” By Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich.

People who do not succeed have one distinguishing trait in common. They know all the reasons for failure, and have what they believe to be air-tight alibis to explain away their own lack of achievement.

A character analyst compiled a list of the most commonly used alibis. As you read the list, examine yourself carefully, and determine how many of these alibis, if any, are your own property. Remember, too, the philosophy presented in this book makes every one of these alibis obsolete.

IF  * * * and this is the greatest of them all * * * I had the courage to see myself as I really am, I would find out what is makinghappywrong with me, and correct it, then I might have a chance to profit by my mistakes and learn something from the experience of others, for I know that there is something WRONG with me, or I would now be where I WOULD HAVE BEEN IF I had spent more time analyzing my weaknesses, and less time building alibis to cover them.

That’s what I wanted to share with you. I hope you got as much from it as I did.

And if you’ve never read “Think and Grow Rich, or you haven’t read it for a while I REALLY suggest that you pick up a copy of this book and read it.

I’d like to know what you think. Leave me a comment in the box below.
