In the last two issues of your PT Profits Newsletter we’ve been talking about “in house” business operations. Things like pricing structure, closing ratio, packages vs. single or small block sessions and my personal favorite – EFT.
In fact, here’s an email I received a couple of days ago from a personal trainer who operates his training business out of an Anytime Fitness in Indiana. Read his email carefully because everything that we’ve been discussing in the last two issues is in his email.

Hey Bedros! How are you? This is Mike from Anytime Fitness IN. We did some sales training in California at the Business Summit. By the way, I highly appreciate that. I wanted to shoot you an email to let you know that over the last 22 intros I’ve taken, I was able to close 20 of them.
That makes it over $30,000 in invoice and about $6500 in cash. I read your PT Business Course, studied my notes and became more persistent and consistent. It was by far the best fitness investment I’ve made. Anyways, I will see you at Business Summit 2008 and will talk to you soon.
Thanks,
Mike G.

Here’s a perfect example of a personal trainer who knows HIS business. It’s no wonder he’s closing nine out of ten prospects, with an average deal of $1500 (divide $30,000 by 20) and best of all this is recurring income because he’s got his business on EFT.
Want to know the kicker?
These are not numbers for the year, they are numbers from the last 30 days. Just imagine how quickly his monthly EFT base is growing!
I’m going to get on my soap box for a moment and rant. But it’s for your own good so pay close attention.
Listen, if you’re still selling training the old fashion way – stop it!
It doesn’t matter what others trainers around town are doing. You need to get with the program and automate your personal training business.
Still selling single and small blocks of sessions? Stop!
Still doing 60 minute sessions? Stop!
Still chasing clients for a check every month? Stop!
Still running ads that produce zero leads? Stop!
There is a better, easier, smarter way to run your training business.
It doesn’t matter if you’re an independent trainer, studio owner, or run a bootcamp. You can still automate your sales and marketing systems and create reliable, predictable and recurring income.
Or you can go from month to month wondering where your next client or paycheck will come from.
Come on! That’s no way to live.
The world has never been fatter. I see fast food joints on every corner! And even little kids are tipping the scale with record breaking numbers. How sad!
The demand for personal trainers has never been greater. You are in demand. You are the solution. And you need to know that.
Your business should be booming and if it’s not, then it’s your fault.
Can’t blame the economy.
The economy is doing fine (unless you listen to the crap that the news spits out.) Today you have every resource you need to make at least $100,000/year in the fitness industry.
The question is: Do you take advantage of these resources?
Do you take action and put these ideas, systems, and strategies to work or do you sit around and “hope” that your business will magically improve?
Look, this may rub you the wrong way. And it may even sound a bit cocky and arrogant. But I’m going to say it.

The fitness industry has been very good to me. I make plenty of money. I love what I do. And I enjoy helping other motivated fitness professionals grow their business.
