I remember when I first figured it out…
…everything seemed to change for me from that day on… I got more time off and finally broke the $100K annual income barrier.

When I first started in the personal training business I only offered one-on-one 60 minute sessions. A couple years after that I figured out that I could still deliver the same results to my clients and make much more money if I changed over to 30 minutes sessions.
… and it stayed that way for several years… until I figured it out.
What I figured out (because I was burned out and tired of waking up early in the morning six days a week to train my clients) was that my fitness business is different than other businesses out there.
I didn’t figure it out on my own…I had some help in figuring this one out.
I was reading ‘multiple streams of income’ by Robert Allen when I realized that my business can be leveraged in ways other businesses can’t.

And that’s when I went into “Operation Leverage Everything” mode and really took my personal training business to new levels of success.
I only know of a handful of professions that can be radically leveraged to make a bunch of money and generate multiple income streams.
See, back in the day when I figured it out I was stoked! I realized, that what I do, can be leveraged in a ton of way. Basically I realized that I was in the fitness INFORMATION business and not the fitness training business.
I also realized that people just want the information in some form or another. Some people jut want the info and others want the info from someone who will be there every step of the way… but no matter what, they just wanted the info.
And that’s when I figured out that I was in the fitness information business.
There are boatloads of ways to disseminate information. So I got to working…
- I hired other trainers to work for me
- I started offering group training programs
- I wrote and marketed a fitness ebook online
- I started offering online personal training
- I opened up multiple location
- I started using EFT (Monthly Auto Debit)

Like I said as a fitness professional you have a major advantage. See, a doctor can’t leverage himself like you can. He has to see one patient at a time and move on to the next one. And when he’s on vacation so is his income.
Same goes for an attorney. One client/court case at a time, and when the case is done it’s done. No recurring or passive income.
Same goes for the chiropractor, the dentist, the physical therapist…
That’s just the nature of traditional “professional” gigs, but not for the SMART personal training business owner.
You’ve got leverage baby!

Leverage lets you multiply yourself. You can get your information out to the market place in a ton of different ways and people are starving for your fitness and fat loss solution now more than ever.
You can multiply yourself through technology, through group training, and by hiring other personal trainers to work for you.
For me leverage and creating info products where the solution to burn out and the fastest and easiest way I knew for creating multiple income streams.
That’s true security. And it’s just as true now as it was eight years ago. (actually even more)
When you get ten minutes to just sit with yourself today. Grab some paper and a pen and start figuring out what information YOU know that can be leveraged by others or even better… made into info products that can pay you over and over again.
