The Smart Way to Use Free Training Sessions

You may have noticed I’ve been on a bit of an education kick lately…I just really seriously want to kick the bad ideas out of trainers’ heads so that you all can start winning the freedom and abundance you deserve.

Sketch Bodybuilder Biceps BackA perfect example of this is when I see trainers struggle with the idea of free training sessions. Pretty much everyone understands that they need to have them, but I see a lot of trainers complain that they don’t work as well as they should.

They’ll offer up all kinds of reasons, like “one session is not enough time to demonstrate my value” or “the only people who opt in for free sessions are tire-kickers.”

Well, I got news for ya…

Using free sessions correctly is a core skill for ANY personal or group training business, and you are 100% responsible for closing the client at the end of the session.

No, there is no luck or magic involved in getting that close. If your free sessions aren’t closing people, it simply means you aren’t using the correct formula.

And that’s exactly what I want to educate you on today!

How to Get the Right Insurance for Your Fitness Business

A lot of people think insurance is boring…until AFTER their building burns down. Then it’s suddenly a huge topic for them.??????????????????

Funny how that works, isn’t it?

The deeper truth here is that most people walk around most of their lives in a passive, reactive state. If you’ve been following my work for a while, you know I’m constantly telling myself and everyone around me to do the opposite: be proactive, take control, and create the exact life you want to live.

A huge part of that is taking steps RIGHT NOW to defend your future freedom and happiness.

That means putting your money into savings (or even better: investing it with professional help). It obviously also means keeping your body healthy and active for the long haul.

But it also means securing insurance for yourself and your business so that you don’t lose everything you worked so hard for when the Suck Factor gets turned up to 11.

Of course, “insurance” can mean a lot of different things and come in many different forms, so today I’m gonna help you sort through your options.

Believe in Your Inner Game

I’m a big believer in the “inner game.”Brain Icon

The thoughts that occupy your mind and the people that you surround yourself with are responsible for 99% of your actions, emotions and outcome.

The brutally honest truth is that many people blame outside circumstances for their outcome when, in reality, where you are in life right now is a direct cause of your thoughts and actions.

And I want to be absolutely clear about something here: whenever I hop on this blog and start talking about mindset, success, motivation, leadership, or any of these other “big picture” topics, I’m giving you information that applies directly to your life and your business.

If you ever study the greatest leaders and most successful people in world history, you’ll find that THE RULES OF MASTERY AND GREATNESS DO NOT CHANGE. These rules are exactly the same across all cultures, all industries, and all personal circumstances.

The short version of the rules go like this: be honest, work hard, make bold decisions, and take care of the people close to you.

And of course, the people close to you includes YOURSELF! See, personal motivation really is a type of self-care. If you blew out your knee, you would immediately rush to a hospital and get that fixed, right? Heck, even if you just had chronic knee pain, you’d look for a way to fix that.

So why would you ever settle for a mindset that isn’t working? If it’s broke, fix it! All it takes is a little bit of thinking about thinking and the firm decision to make a positive change in your life.

If you’re in a good place right now then I congratulate you on your self-mastery.

And if you’re not in a good place then you have some work to do and I’m here to help see you though it.

How to Create a Sense of Urgency in Clients

Do you have trouble closing clients?

You’re great at what you do, and you’ve got leads walking in the door pretty consistently. The problem is that these leads aren’t converting into paying clients. Most of them even compliment you on a great workout! So why aren’t they sticking around?

Zemanta Related Posts ThumbnailMaybe you’re not creating a sense of urgency in these prospects.

The trick is that you have to make potential clients feel like they need to sign up immediately. If they feel as though an opportunity is slipping through their fingers then they’ll be jumping to buy your program.

Today I’m going to give you some techniques on how to create this sense of urgency so that you can have clients rushing to sign up without you having to pull a hard close.

Who Are Your Clients?

You can’t make any money when you’re selling to nobody.

Simple, right?Young woman holding interrogation symbol in front of her face

Except not really, because I see a lot of fitness professionals make this mistake over and over.

Who are your clients? Who are your past, present, and future clients? Who is looking at your ads? Who is opening and reading your emails? Who aren’t your clients?

If you can’t give exact, detailed answers to all of those questions, you aren’t going to make any money because you’re selling to nobody. In fact, if you’re broke right now this is probably the reason why.

Let’s try an easier question: who are you?

No problem there, right? I know some of you could talk for days answering this question. Even if you’re more the quiet and humble type, you could probably think of a nice long answer in your head.

So here’s what you need to do if you want to massively increase your income: you need to be able to answer all those questions about your client as thoroughly as you can answer questions about yourself.

And I’m going to help you do that right here.

5 Ways to Increase Your Creativity

As a fitness entrepreneur, you are also a creative professional.

Brain GearDoes that sound weird? Are you used to thinking of “creative professionals” as designers, writers, architects, etc.?

Well the truth is that you are just as creative as any of those guys…

IF, of course, you’re doing your job right.

I’m always telling you that your top duties as a fitness entrepreneur are marketing, selling, and leadership. Well, if you want to excel in all three of those areas then you need a lot of creativity.

And again, I want to really be clear about what I mean when I say “creative.” See, there are a lot stereotypes surrounding the idea of creativity. A lot of people want you to believe that anyone who is creative is automatically an artist, and that you can’t be creative if you’re not an artist.

This is a lie. I’ll give you the true definition of creativity right here:

Creativity is finding elegant solutions to serious problems. Creativity is finding connections between things that don’t seem related. Creativity is taking the boring and difficult parts of life and making them fun and easy.
