Finding Your Straight Line to Success

“I want to know why I can’t reach my goals. Why can I never be successful?”

Trust me, I get this a lot.

I have to tell you, it was a really big paradigm shift for me once I figured this out.

About 98% of people never reach the goals, the happiness, or the success that they want. Oftentimes these people are motivated, but lack the long-term focus to accomplish what they want to.

The remaining 2% get split up 50/50.

One half will get there after a long period of time. They’ll be bruised, battered, and scathed, with only a little bit of time to revel in their success.

That other half, that other 1%, will get there in really quick fashion. They’ll have plenty of time to enjoy their success and happiness.

What I will share with you here is how and why this 1% thrives. This is what I call the “straight line to success”.

Let’s imagine two points on a grid. Point A is where you are now. Maybe you’re unsatisfied, maybe you feel unfulfilled. Point B is your desired state of being, where your success and happiness are where you want them to be.

The million-dollar question is how to go from point A to point B. Right?

A or B as concept of choice

Now, it’s common sense that a straight line is the fastest way from point A to point B. You have to pursue your goals in a straight line.

It doesn’t matter if you want to open a restaurant, run a personal training gym, or become an online marketer. It is always your best option to follow a straight line to success with minimal distractions.

Listen, we both know that you don’t need to set a 10 or 15-year goal to get to where you want to be in life, especially when everything you need for success is at your fingertips with technology.

What should take people a year to a few years to accomplish ends up taking them 15 to 20 years. It should take you anywhere from six months to a year to make a good amount of income.

We’re talking about making six figures IF you stay on this straight line. That’s the trick, right?

Here’s what happens to a lot of people.

They start at point A with every intention to reach point B. The problem is when they think, “You know what? I want to write an eBook.”

They start writing their eBook, then stop and think, “You know what? Maybe I ought to create a video instead, so I’ll change my program and make a video.”

Then they’ll say, “You know what, I’m not really sure if I want to do videos. Maybe I want to make a membership site. But before that, I’ll try multilevel marketing to see whether that’s right for me.”

Before you know it, this little idea fairy flies into your life to distract you from your end goals.

Each time you get off track, you fall back a little bit. Eventually, you are right back at point A.

You just want a straight line to success. So how do you avoid all these distractions and roadblocks in your way so you can achieve what you are passionate about?

Above all, when you start something, finish it. That is the number one lesson that I can ever teach you in life.

I coach thousands of small business owners, fitness professionals, internet marketers, and multimillion dollar companies, and I tell them the same exact thing.

Even multimillion dollar companies will start tons of little projects when each of them could add another six or seven figures to their bottom line. Yet they become so consumed with these side projects that they lose the chance to profit even more.

Now, on a personal level, the same thing happens to people like you.

It might not be the idea fairy that sabotages these people. Rather, it might be their weird association with money. Maybe it’s how they feel about success, and whether they even deserve success in life. Maybe people told them that they couldn’t amount to anything, so they keep sabotaging themselves and fall back.

They never achieve what their true purpose is. They never reach that level where they can help more people make more money, win their freedom, and live in abundance.

Listen, I don’t know what holds you back, but what I can tell you is this: These little projects on the side won’t go away.

It’s your job to learn the simple two-letter word that will completely revolutionize your priorities. What word is that?

“No.”

That’s it. “No.”

no hand

When you’re tempted to change your mind, when you think you have a better idea, when you want to go a different direction, when you encounter a new distraction, your job is to say no and stay on the straight line.

I can tell you this: I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I came from a communist country. I didn’t even speak English and had to learn the language. I barely made it out of high school, and then dropped out of college the first semester.

I was destined to amount to nothing, but I was good at one thing and one thing only.

When I started something, I stuck with it, and I stuck with it no matter what.

Each time I stuck with something, my learning curve grew faster and faster. I ended up having less zigzags and more straight lines. Eventually, I was following a straight line to success.

That’s what I want to really impress upon you today. You need to learn to say no to the idea fairy, to the distractions that show up, to whatever negative association you have with money, to however you feel about whether you deserve success or not.

If you need some ideas on how to better time manage and be more efficient, find resources that will sharpen you in these areas. The last thing you want is to waste your time doing nothing but fake busy work. You know, that work that makes you feel productive when you’re really not.

That’s the only way you will end up on the straight line, maximizing your time and minimizing any obstacles to your success.

I’ll talk to you soon,

Bedros
