Creating Money Out Of Thin Air
Hey Bedros Keuilian here,
I’ve got a killer blog post for you from one of my mastermind coaching clients, Leanne Ellington, where she gives you her secret for pulling money out of thin air.
But first I wanted you to know that today, Monday December 6th at 12 noon PST I close the doors on my 21 Day Fitness Business Makeover. Don’t miss this if you want to add another $50,000 to $150,000 to your income in 2011.
ONWARD!
Here’s the How To “Out-Magic” David Copperfield in Your Fitness Business and Create Money Out of Thin Air blog post from Leanne.
There’s quite a few reasons why I dig masterminds so much.
Cool people… the latest and most cutting-edge marketing and ninja tactics…and the feeling that you just had a potent “success mojo” substance released into your bloodstream intravenously. (Shhh, “success mojo” is still illegal in most countries).
The only obstacle I’ve come across is simply figuring out which proven, tested, out-of-the-box marketing tactic I want to go home and implement first- and trust me, that’s a great problem to have.
Usually I leave with things like cool promotion or publicity ideas, retention tools, or powerful autoresponder sequences- things that my fellow masterminders have tested or tweaked and proven to be super-valuable. Usually it’s something tangeable or specific that I can just go plug and play into my own business and go put my own unique spin on.
But this last 7 Figure Mastermind Meeting in Las Vegas a few weeks ago was quite a bit different that any other I had been to in the past.
Now I’m not referring to my 30 second in-the-flesh-and-blood conversation with musical legend Stevie Wonder that took me waaaaay out of my comfort zone- that could be another blog post all in it’s own. (hey you never know what could happen at these masterminds!)
I’m simply referring to the my big “takeaway” from the last meeting- a takeaway that wasn’t concrete or tested or proven. It wasn’t a fellow masterminders contribution of some kind. It wasn’t a way to improve retention, increase conversion, or buff up the stats of something I was currently doing. In fact, I didn’t even know about this “takeaway” until about 8 days after the mastermind had ended.
Allow me to explain….
Every meeting, there is always some unplanned anecdote from Bedros that not only reveals some funny shit that goes on in his everyday life, but also seriously DRILLS that success-minded mentality into our brains.
In case you didn’t know, Bedros loooooves cars. Conveniently, he usually falls in love with some that are fairly pricey.
At this point in time, he had eyes for one car and one car only: Nissan’s “super car” the GTR (I’m assuming with all the fixins’) that would have set him back about $107 thousand dollars.
Can’t say that I blame him, but he figured he would have a hard time justifying to his wife that this 100K expense was indeed “neccessary”. After all, the guy’s got a wife and two kids to provide for.
So what would most people do? Most people would probably surrender, not even bring it up again, and then resort to having vivid and detailed dreams like Chevy Chase did of Elle Macpherson in National Lampoons Vacation.
Might I remind you though, Bedros is not “most people”.
Instead he became even more determined to get his hands on that car, and decided he was gonna do it with “found money”. Robert Kiyosaki mentions the concept in his “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, but I’m gonna venture to say that Bedros took it to another level…
He found the need—> people that wanted coaching from him but might not be able to afford a mastermind
He filled the need —> opened a “new” mastermind that is more condensed, concise, and affordable
He created INSANE amounts of value and overdelivered —> just spend a day in his office with him, and you’ll know what I mean.
Result—> A GTR Babe-Magnet on Wheels!

The man literally pulled money out of his ass…eh chem… I mean out of thin air. And it wasn’t in a sneaky or malicious way either. He legitimately turned these people’s worlds and businesses upside down. He added so much friggen’ value to their lives and gave them the knowledge to go make that investment by simply implementing one idea. He just also happened to make a lot of money doing it.
So what’s this have to do with my big mastermind takeaway, and more importantly, how can this story help you and your business?
I’m glad you asked =)
You see a couple weeks after this most recent mastermind, I was due to open up my very own standalone boot camp facility here in Orlando. I had spent a good amount of money out of my savings to paint, put in the expensive flooring, and take care of all the other endless T’s that needed crossing.
Originally I told myself that I was gonna “pay myself back” within three months of opening the doors to my facility. That seemed safe. That seemed logical. That seemed feasible. Unfortunately though safety, logic, and feasibility don’t pay the bills- and they certainly don’t buy a car that cost 6 figures.
So I decided to up the stakes and figure out how to pay myself back immediately, and on a flight from Denver, Colorado to Orlando, FL I created what turned out to be my very own masterpiece- my very own “found money” paint-by-numbers. I literally titled the word document “How-To-Pull-Money-Out-of-Thin-Air” and filled in all the details on that unforgettable 2 hour 20 minute flight.
In a nutshell, I created an entire 2-week launch process through my blog and email list to market a new 28-day holiday program simply by giving away awesome content, giving away a ton of free shit, and then making an offer they couldn’t refuse.
Just like Bedros had, I found the need, found a way to fill the need by offering my awesome new program, and then created INSANE amounts of value and ways to over-deliver.
Not only that, but I had the confidence in knowing that the program would help so many peoples lives and change those lucky individuals for the better- that it would turn these people’s lives upside down just like Bedros’ program had done for his clients in his “found money” operation.
To make a long story a little less long- the launch and promo was a hit. I needed to sell 15 spots, I sold 30. I payed myself back and then some. And I did it all with “found money”.
I’m no magician. I’m certainly no David Copperfield. But honestly, who wants to pull a rabbit out of a hat anyways when you can pull a $107 K dollar car out of your ass instead? =)
So let me ask you a question: what gold mine are you sitting on right at this very moment? What service are you denying your clients or future clients of that would not only add CRAZY amounts of value to their lives but also be a serious disservice to them if you didn’t offer it?
How can you go make your life and your business better by simply going and creating something miraculous…something of CRAZY value to someone… and literally pull it out of thin air?
Get a piece of paper and a pen. Start making a list, and don’t stop until you have at least 10 solid “found money” ideas. And once you find them, get your best idea and take massive action on it!
Abra Kadabrah. Abrah Ka Zay. Now go…

Hi,
Have anyone here experience about doing telemarketing for personal training? Like cold calling people (from phonebook or something similar) and asking if they are interested and booking some free consultation? This is cost effective approach in many service based businessess so I would like an expert marketers opinion? Is it worth thinking in fitness business? Thanks and sorry for my bad english
Great post! I love reading stories of normal people doing extraordinary things. People that really take things to the next level. Goes to show you that when you focus your mind and energy on accomplishing something it can be done.
