Help Me Pimp Out FBS11

It’s getting to be that time. Fitness Business Summit 11 time!
In fact, be sure to clear your calendar for March 18, 19, and 20th 2011 becuase you’ll be out here in Southern California learning and hanging out with some of the biggest and brightest achievers in the fitness industry today.
And as I do every year I want to make FBS11 WAY over the top.
We’ve already got a new venue. Bigger, nicer, hotel in Orange County.
I just locked in the final presenter. FBS 11 is going to have a whole new
line up of presenters - all who are generating six, multiple six and seven figures
in their fitness business.
I even have a couple HUGE surprises and a special guest presenter who is going
to blow your mind!
But that’s not why I’m doing this blog post today.
The reason for this post is becuase I need your help with something VERY important…
See, I think all the fitness conferences out there are lame. So I make FBS not lame.
I make it fun. We play games, drink a little, throw money stuffed in Easter eggs to
the audience, and last year we even had a money machine booth.
You know what I’m talking about right…?
That phone boot looking thing that blows money all around you and you
get inside and have 30 seconds to catch the money and keep what you catch.
And every year I like to do a cool opening to FBS.
For example, at FBS 09 we had Polynesian drummers and dancers take the stage the first morning and get the audience pumped.
And then last year (FBS10) I wanted a marching band to come through the
ballroom.
I was thinking of something like this…

But instead I got this…. (watch the 3 minute video below).
As you can see the marching band I had in mind didn’t turn out like I though
it would.
Turns out you can’t just rent the USC marching band for an hour…. Ha!!
So for FBS11 I want to think up something really sweet for the “opening ceremony”
and that’s where I need your help.
Give me some ideas of what we can do for the opening ceremony for FBS11 and
if we end up using your idea we’ll give you VIP access to FBS11 (Includes all access
pass to the seminars and hotel stay).
I’m not gonna say who’s idea we’re gonna go with… you’ll have to see when you
get there

You need to do something with goats in it.
Not sure what.
Instead of a money machine maybe have a farm theme and you present with a herd of goats on the stage.

The 5 or 6 presenters booked for the weekend have a figure competition where they are judged on their physique and catwalk poses by the audience!
Give you all more incentive to train even harder (if thats possible). Could have rock band playing in background or a local orchestra playing the rocky training montage songs (from rocky I to rocky VI!!

I think a physique contest would definitely be my second choice. For the first choice well……. I better not.
How about a 10-15 minute Hafla..some drummers on stage and 1-2 or 3 bellydancers…that will wake everyone up!

Seeing as how you and Steve have all the cheerleading facilities locked down with FBBC’s, have them come in and do a routine as they walk in through the doors and then have them doing crazy lifts, throws, acrobatics across the stage. Have some guys on the outer edges of the stage swinging chains of fire like see in Hawaii (just don’t tell the hotel about the fire part) for greater effect, music blasting

Hey Bedros!
Im super-excited for FBS again this year! You always manage to make it better every time. When I was in High School (quite some time ago lol), we had a Kendo demonstration at an assembly. These two guys with practice armor and big sticks came out swinging and jumping around allover the place. It was definately an attention getter with a TON of energy. And it was just plain impressive. There’s my 2 cents. I know you’ll find a way to trump every FBS prior.

@ Kevin and Kristen: I may be married to a latina, live in Miami, but Zumba ain’t this cowboys thing.
I’m thinking we all do something BIG that is a break state kind of metaphor for taking action and conquering self perceived limitations. Tony Robbins has the fire walk, maybe we could do something that really pushes everyone to see they can do so much more.

Start off with some mysterious orchestral music. A little fake fog up on stage with lots of flashing lights. Out comes a magician performing some crazy stunts/magic.
Get the crowd involved. Make money disappear and re-appear with extra digits! Make Kettle Bells levitate.
Finish off by magically making Bedros hair disappear.
The magic show should be mysterious and upbeat. The magic show should be hilarious and fun. Be sure that Bedros has something happen to him. Maybe the magician messes up and Bedros ends up with a pink mohawk! haha
I think I will get my butt out of Canada and down to Califonia to FBS11!
I like trapeze artists! Or clowns. or Contortionists. Hey is circque du soleil booked? Seriously tho….. Capoeira would be cool.

Why don’t you have a car dealership with the most bad ass cars around set up a driving course outside. Tell everyone to follow you out and each person can test drive 1 dream car. That would get everyone dreaming and having visions of making it. I bet they’ll absorb the information a lot easier

Have people mail in a clipboard, their name tag, and uniform from their gym where they are working for “The Man” for a $50 voucher off their FBS2011 registration. Then, for the opening ceremony, rent a small wood chipper, dump them all in, and blast that shit all over the room to symbolize the end of busting your ass for chump change and creating your own business.
Then they can all take a handful back home with them as a reminder of what they are working for.
1 word Bedros….. strippers….. tigers….fire……ok well thats 3, link em up and you get a great show!!! let me know, i can get the strippers, get you a # for a tiger, the fire…your on your own there……. Bwahahaha Marc

Get those Parkour and freerunning dudes to run all over the place while some break dancers face off up front.
And Jessica Alba just hanging out. She doesn’t need to do anything.
You should drop in via parachute with smoke trailers on your shoes so we could see your path, and once you land have it timed so there is a flyover with 5-6 f16 jets. Now that’s an entrance!
You and Hochman should skydive into the parking lot.

Honestly Bedros, I could care less what the opening ceremony holds (okay, I’ll admit, I enjoyed the awkwardness of the “marching band” last year…) I’m too pumped up for the rest of FBS to care about the opening. FBS is ALWAYS and UNDOUBTEDLY the most important 3 days of the entire year for my biz. So I’ll be there for the opening ceremony, but I’ll be eagerly awaiting the rest of the weekend where we learn how to make millions!

Im coming this year Bedros!! Where do I sign up before you sell out!! For the opening act how about Break Dancers…….like the real deal Break Dancers that learned in the streets of NY!! The music is pumpin and the dancing is crazy!! Thatll get everyone really psyched!!
Okay, Okay…. I’m still all about the Opening Ceremony. How about one of those on-stage hypnotists? Can you imagine what some of our group might say if under the spell of a (skilled) hypno-entertainer? lol On second thought, just not enough pomp and circumstance.
We could create a viral video by doing a flash mob. It would definitely be a drastic state change for everyone and would get us all up and moving or not if we do a freeze one. Plus it would be a super cool way to give everyone an immediate opportunity to have something to share with all of their clients and would get massive exposure for everyone!

Martial arts demonstration with some board, cinder block, etc. breaking to emphasize the power of the mind and it’s ability to focus (which I’m sure will be one of the take home points from the weekend)!
