Way to go Bedros! I did the same thing about a year and a half ago. Never been much of a runner but one year I said F-it and decided to run a marathon. I got a few of my friends to do the same and it was an incredible experience.

To get out of my comfort zone I’m going to lay down in the middle of a busy shopping center and just lay there. I’m re-reading the updated version The Four Hour Workweek, I’ll let you know how it goes!

and please no pictures of you in the nipple guards!

Carrie Kukuda @ 1:49 pm

Love it Bedros! I can relate a little when I got asked to do a 10 mile run (3 weeks from the run)when I wasn’t even running. I said ok, and than run 6 miles one Saturday, the next Saturday I ran 8 and then the next Saturday was the race/run! My only goal was to finish it and not to stop running, even if it was a snail run. I hit a wall at mile 7 and I had this person I don’t even know visit inside of me and told me to stop!!!! The other Carrie (that’s me) said no way; it was a battle! What got me through it was, I would be 85 years old and have no memory left, but I’d remember that I walked that race. Anyone can achieve their goals if they set their minds to it! Oh - did I mentioned it was raining really hard, I was soaked, and running back was against the wind! I love the message and Good Luck Bedros!

I love that story! Thanks to you and all of your buddies, I search for things to get me out of my comfort zone now. Because I know it will help me to be a better business women in the end. I usually end up having a great time and feeling good that I followed thru.

My last venture was to try out for the Puu’wai Canoe Club. Women were being recruited and anyone could try it out so there I went. I was always curious. It was raining and cold that first evening of tryouts and I almost used it as an excuse NOT TO GO. Dont’t think about it, Robin, Just do it! I kept saying to myself. I was put into a 5 man canoe with seasoned paddler women, half my age. I knew I could hold my own since I was in shape and a water girl. Well, it was gruelling, non-stop paddling for almost two hours, in the rain. Dig! Dig! That was hard. Whine! I went to tryouts one more time. Thanks for listening to my tale.

SOOOO Timely…I have the word doc opened with an info product I have been working on for weeks..it’s open everyday, and I just don’t finish…

Deadline is Sunday, and I’m presenting it at my local mastermind meeting..

Wow Bedros, best of luck to you on this… Wish we could all be there to cheer you on :) I recently had a realization that part of taking action is doing your best and when you’ve done all you can do leap and land on faith.

Great advice Bedros, just what I needed to hear today!! Have a fantastic marathon, we’ll be thinking of you.

Kester Taylor @ 5:56 pm

Bedros, you’re in great shape so I don’t think this is too far out of your comfort zone but it will certainly stretch you. I once did a 10k run and I manage to finish in less than an hour - I know, that time sucks! but I gave it my all. After that run, I knew that I would never run that far again - unless my kids lives depended on it.

I have no doubt you’ll cross the finish line, give it your all - you’re in for a treat. Good luck!

Hey B,
Proud of you Man!!!! It will be a life changing experience for you…believe me…..no ACL in my right knee…..doctor’s orders to never run distance (actually described as “never do something crazy like run a marathon”) and worried how it would affect my bodybuilding career…..5 marathons later and no worse for wear!!!! Wishing you all the best. I’ve been in a funk lately but you have inspired me to step up. Thanks for all the help!!!

I believe that finishing a marathon isn’t just an athletic achievement, It’s a state of mind that shows anything is possible!

To get out of my “zone” I have started to focus 90% of my attention towards building my business (I even built my website from scratch and a blog will be started TONIGHT on google blogs) And to roughly follow your example, I have given myself 3 months (instead of 12) to get established in my community as the expert.

I also went business to business with a fliers and business cards to chat with anyone who was interested in fitness. Turns out allot of business owners were impressed with my approach.

Best of luck in your venture,
Jerry Veley
