The Most Awesome Industry EVER

Andrew and Chloe give daddy a hand

I’m writing this blog post 39,000 feet up in the air.

We’re somewhere over Texas heading back to So Cal. from Orlando Florida.

Fitness Info Summit was off the hook!

…if you were there, then you know what a blast it was, and based on the comments on this blog and the feedback we got at the event the content we delivered was out of this world!

I want to thank the awesome presenters for giving the BEST stuff they had. Craig Ballantyne, Chris McCombs, Vince DelMonte, and Steve Hochman brought the THUNDER.

Of course it was easy for us to deliver our best stuff considering the audience was so HIGH ENERGY and AWESOME… All we had to do was feed of the energy.

It was magical.

And speaking of magical…

I want to congratulate everyone in the picture below. These are the fitness pros who were accepted into the “Your Next 100K” Info Marketing Mastermind Group. The next 12 months is going to be VERY magical for them.

After the FIS ended my family and I stayed another four days and enjoyed Orlando. We did the Disney Animal park and spent two days at the Magic Kingdom.

Good times all around.

But the energy at the hotel changed the rest of the week. It got a stale. A little weird. The energy was gone.

Then I figured it out…

there was a new conference happening in the hotel. A conference for electrical engineers.

And they’re not like you and me.

They’re different.

They’re older…

They’re frumpy…

They’re too stiff…

Things got a little crazy when I started tossing out plastic eggs will with money

Things got a little crazy when I started tossing out plastic eggs filled with money

They take themselves too serious…

Wankerski try's to foil the show - but fails

Wankerski try's to foil the show - but fails

They dress in cheap collared shirts and old suites NOT because they want to but because they feel have to.

Then I realized it.

They (almost all of them) hated their lives. It was SO obvious. I could see it in their eyes.

And that’s when I realized that we’re in the BEST profession EVER you and me. And it was totally obvious this past weekend at Fitness Info Summit.

We’re fitness professionals.

We help folks change their lives!

The FIS presenter panel and surprise guests

We’re NOT the problem… we’re the SOLUTION.

We bring the energy, passion, enthusiasm and purpose because we went into this industry for the right reasons… TO HELP OTHERS.

And as a by-product of helping other we have the ability to earn more than electrical engineers, attorneys, doctors and other “typical” white collar jobs.

I’m not saying that other industries suck… we need them and I’m glad they’re there.

I’m just saying that the fitness industry kicks major ass!

For us it’s not a JOB. It’s a CALLING.

And there’s no other industry that can deliver SO MUCH value, change so many lives and impact so many people AND still have a TON of fun.

I love the fitness industry for all those reasons.

How about you?… What do you love most about the fitness industry?

Let me know in the comment section below :)

Dude… I agree, this week in Orlando wad “MAGICAL” and the energy was off the hook!
Great job bro!
Now get those massive and beautiful silverback gorilla traps to bed!

“MAGIC in the FITNESS KINGDOM!” Thank you again Bedros for putting together an awesome event. You brought the best of the best. I have canceled all of my other subscriptions and am hungry for all you guys have to offer. See you Next Month!

Michael Duivis @ 1:21 pm

Man, I used to be an Aerospace Engineer and I know EXACTLY what you’re talking about. Those guys deprive themselves from all spontaneity and have LOUSY LOUSY sexlives if any. Women are scarce, so they play World of Warcraft instead.

I get passionate about that since I’m so GLAD I traded it for the Fitness Industry. Yeah the Fitness Industry kicks major ass!

Excerpts from my blog:

CHAMPIONS WERE on stage. The champions of the fitness marketing and information world. The likes of Bedros Keuilian, Craig Ballantyne, Chris McCombs, Zach Even-Esh, Vince Del Monte, and Steve Hochman.

Who are these guys? These so-called Transparent gentlemen. Sounds like a super hero team to me! The Transparencies! Could be a boy band actually. No, but seriously who are they?

Let me start with Steve Hochman! Because I like to start with humor to break the ice (Timmay!). Now this guy you have to corner while he is going to the bathroom. And when he is doing a Number 3! Ugh…And if you have a chance to corner him, you just might run into a strong Mindset. Steve came onstage and killed it as he talked about mindset and the parallels it has with success. Not just in business, but in life.

Zach Even-Esh. Ma man! My Broskie! Air guitar and all! (Pauly Reddick work on your slap base please) This lovable Dirtee Joyzee has alot of heart, powerful mind, and great work ethic. Love ya Bruddah! Great Input up on stage!

Craig Ballantyne….(saying this in dry serious manner) “Well……Yeah……He’s Good”. Just Kidding! You had to be there to understand this joke and this line! Craig is a NO B.S. type of guy. Git ‘er Done! Straight to the Point and Transparent. But the man is brilliant. Simply, Brilliant. Wait did I just do it (dry tone) again?! Kidding Craig, kidding.

Chris McCombs – Man, what a down to earth cat who just is himself. What-you-see-is-what-you-get type of guy. This Blogging maniac of a king, may seem so far away because of his imposing size and his stellar fame on the internet. But in reality, he is transparent and goes against the grain to carve his own path. A pot-stirrer, authority figure, get -it-done-guy, family man, and downright got your back type of guy.

Do you see a pattern here people?

Vince Del Monte…down to earth and transparent. You can tell the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. You can see it when his father spoke and you can see where his Human-ness (is that word) comes from. Thank you Vince for being successful, so that we can pick up on the clues that success leaves.

Bedros – Where do I start with this Lion? You know that animal fits him perfectly. No not because his hair looks like he has a mane! Or that when he laughs it sounds like a roar?! By the way guys, he can’t throw a shirt across a room if his life depended on it (hehe). We should do an info product on increasing shirt throwing distance (going once, twice….) wink.

Bedros’ transparency best showed when someone had asked a question about which products and which route he should go? Bedros shocked the room by giving advice that may have “seemed” crazy from a straight business gross perspective! Turned down thousands of dollars?! You nuts Lion man?!

Yeah he is…But you know what? He is crazy/nuts from the heart. And that my friends was one of the best displays of transparency for the fact that he did NOT TAKE the gentleman’s money; and instead suggested that he work on more simpler items. I applaud you Bedros. I thank you.

I thank everyone! For being (here i go as I butcher this word to death) T-R-A-N-S-P-A-R-E-N-T.

This feel good word doesn’t mean jack crap until you see it for yourself. Until you try it for yourself

I wish you all success who was at the seminar because I had a great time. Cool people, great energy.

This seminar wasn’t all about info marketing. In my eyes it was a “Go-Giver” mentality, transparency, and giving thanks!

The laws of reciprocity was thick in the air!!

DERRICK @ 4:06 pm

HELLO MR. DAVIS,

I WORK IN THE HEALTH INDUSTRY. I DO PERSONAL TRAINING ON THE SIDE IN PUBLIC PLACES. I WANT TO HAVE MY OWN PT BUSINESS BUT DON’T HAVE THE FUNDS AT THIS TIME TO START UP ONE. I WANT TO KNOW IF THIS SYSTEM CAN HELP ME ACCOMPLISH MY GOAL OF OWNING MY BUSINESS IN ORDER FOR ME TO HELP OTHERS. COULD YOU GIVE ME SOME TYPE OF ADVICE OF WHAT I NEED TO DO IF YOU CAN?

DERRICK @ 4:10 pm

I APOLOGIZE ABOUT THE SPELLING OF YOUR LAST NAME MR. DUIVIS.

I couldn’t agree more

Dear Bedros,
I would love to be a presenter. I live the fitness life and love every bit of it! Please advise.

Richard Hackworth @ 6:45 pm

I’m glad everyone seemed to have a good time amongst all the hype… but how professional can someone learn to be from people who don’t care enough to look professional? I hope that you will make an effort to raise the standards of the industry that you love. If you seek incomes in line with other professional like doctors and lawyers then you need to carry yourselves with that level of professionalism. Gimmicks and hype are never good for building a long term success. My lawn care guy dresses more professional than the people on your stage. I hope that you will address this topic in your e-news. Is it really ok to dress like you are washing cars for donations and expect people to pay you a professional fee?

I’m not trying to be uptight here just wondering if that is the professional expectation where you are from.

Best Regards,
Richard Hackworth

Larry McCulloch @ 9:57 pm

Man, I love the fitness industry, i wake up early in the morning with a passion for living and think, “GOD who can we help today, take me to your funky little town and let’s kick some ass.” I think of our industry as Noah’s Ark and we the fitness professionals of the world are Noah. We have been given the tools to save our communities from themselves by taking as many people as we can onto our arks to the higher ground. And that higher ground is a better state of health and wellness where you and i live and prosper everyday, away from the world where fast food and watching tv rule to fulfill our sadness..

so yes- “i’m with Bedros” It is our calling..

Now let’s kick some ass.

Philip Hall @ 10:00 pm

Richard,

did you not read what Bedros said.

“And as a by-product of helping other we have the ability to earn more than electrical engineers, attorneys, doctors and other “typical” white collar jobs.”

So i dont know about you, but if i can dress in casual clothes and feel comfortable and still earn more than doctors, etc. then i def would chose that. I mean who actually enjoys wearing a suite anyways??

And the last time i saw a lawn care guy his outfit looked pretty stupid. Dress like we are washing cars and asking for donations? you seem really confused and quite frankly your coming off as a little jealous.

I became a personal trainer to help people change with exercise and improve their quality of life. Being 48 years of age I know that exercise, proper nutrition and rest are very important as an anti-aging solution. I also love to see my client’s attitudes change when they see their bodies transform after making exercise and eating healthier a lifestyle change.

The Info Summit was a total blast. It was worth at least 100X more of what they charged. I cannot believe all the awesome information presented. It was cutting edge.
All the presenters went above and beyond.
Once again Bedros you have outdone yourself.
Great job!!!

Dr. Debra @ 7:42 am

Hi Bedros,

I agree that the fitness industry folks at the summit, both the presenters and the attendees, were a great bunch of people. They have to have heart to do their job well, it is not just punching a clock. It was a friendly, welcoming group and I enjoyed being a part of it. For me fitness is not my job but my passion and I met people at the summit that it was both for them. Very cool….

Thank you to all the presenters for their valuable time and insights that they were willing to share.

Great post Bedros. There’s nothing better than getting paid for doing what you like to do and helping others at the same time.

Marlon John @ 9:54 pm

I couldn’t agree more, the fitness industry ROCKS!!!! I love what I do, we’re helping people change their lives and most importantly we’re not stuck in a cubical.

Andy @ 9:05 am

Hi,
I couldn’t agree with you more. Apart from the way most of them are dressed, most of them don’t even look they are in the fitness industry. They all kinda look overweight and puggy. But you know this event was more about marketing than fitness. These guys are all great at marketing fitness on line and those that attended I suppose just care more about the actions that these guys took rather than how they look.
I don’t know if you follow Vince Del Monte at all but he has teamed up with Joel Marion and is promoting a carbs cycling program where and I quote “They Demand That You Eat Junk Food” in order to make the program more successful. Now who in the fitness industry who cares about their body in their right mind would promote eating donuts and fries and drinking soda!!!!! “But It Makes The Program Work - You Just Have to Try It To Believe It” is what they are saying. I mean really….WTF?????
