What happened When I Hired a Celebrity Trainer

Posted on September 25, 2009 By Bedros

I don’t know if you watched the Ellen show last week or not

…but if you did then you may have seen my friend and celebrity trainer Valerie Waters.

But before she was on Ellen, she was at my office training me with the the awesome Val Slides.

Check out my “first” Val Slide workout from a real Hollywood trainer in this video. (it’s a hoot)

And be sure to check out this video too >>

Hey Bedros,
I have been using furniture slides for the past 5 years to do the same thing. I thought about making these and brining them to maket myself. You can by these furniture slides in a pack of 6 for $14 they work great.

Bedros! First off thanks for sharing your torture session with the Val Slides! You did a fabulous job especially with the painful push-aways! Val did a FAB job too! As a trainer, it is always fun and exciting to see other trainer’s styles, exericse twists, etc!! Next time I’m hoping you make it to at least 600 push-ups since you made the 400 look amazingly easy-haha! Thanks a ton!!

Great rendition of the Dyna Disc workout and she does her own knockoff product, too! This workout has been around for a few years; nice new spin on someone else’s product.

I have been using a similar product by Mindy Mylrea called the Gliding Disks. Prior to that I used paper plates.. I think Mindy was the first to create these things. She has a carpet and wood floor version. Not sure if the pricing is still correct but I bought a box of 10 for 200 bucks and they make great client gifts! I use them not only in the weight room & with bot camp classes but in yoga and pilates as well. They are a great tool.

Hey Guy,
You really need to get out more often. I had purchase the val slides 2 years ago and I have done all those exercise with my clients its nothing new. But thanks for the trying!!

Jeff Sherman @ 6:48 pm

Great video guys! I have a few sets of the val slides and my clients and boot campers love them! Keep up the great work!

Sara Hutniak @ 7:44 pm

Hey Bedros,
Love the val slides for my boot campers - something different and the gymnastics flooring is perfect for them.

Val is great. Great routine. Nice work B. Nice toes :) ))

Cory @ 7:58 am

Hey Bedros, Those are pretty cool. Another trainer at the gym uses them and I have been thinking about buying some. Hey on another note, the flag in your video is hanging incorrectly. The Union Stars should be on the left when the American Flag is displayed vertically. I know by calling you out on this might seem trivial, but too many American Soldiers/Sailors have given the Ultimate Sacrifice for the American Flag and all that it stands for. It is out of my respect for our fallen that I make sure the American Flag is displayed correctly and proudly.

Bedros @ 8:57 am

Cory, thanks for the heads up. Flag has been corrected.

RE: Dave

Now the real question is, “Have you used Val Slides to move your furniture?” !
