How to Fire Crappy Clients

Posted on January 8, 2009 By Bedros

You don’t have to work with crappy clients.

You know the kind I’m talking about. The ones that make every minute seem like an hour.

The ones that suck up all your energy, never do what you ask them to do, and always have something to complain about.

I don’t care how much you think you need them to pay your bills - you don’t.

They’re actually costing you money, time and energy.

They are mojo killers.

They’re kryptonite for your creative process.

While at Valerie Waters’ product party yesterday I got an email from a subscriber who clearly does not jive with how I want to run my business.

So I fired her this morning. Here’s the video:

This is exactly what I’m going to do with a client who stresses me out.
Thanks Mike!

One question, what do you do with someone you’ve been training 3 x per week for 18 months or so, but just have got to a point where you can’t take it any more?

I like her, but it feels like a relationship where the spark has gone! I get up at 5.45am 3 times a week and I really can’t do it any more, but don’t know how to ‘break up’ as I really don’t want to upset her - but my whole day / life / motivation and mojo is seriously suffering…

I have offered her an ‘in between’ solution which I’m waiting for her response to, but now want to get out completely!! Advice greatly appreciated…

Thank you for sharing this. It really makes a lot of sense, as I have been in the fitness industry for 8 years.
