Another Bad Ass Fitness Marketing System For You TO Use and Get a TON of Clients

I’m here in Maui with my beautiful wife and kids getting a lot of relaxation done.

Life is good… we’re in a 2,000 square foot villa in Kapalua on a private beach front resort. The mighty pacific is right outside of our sliding glass door – less than a 25 yard walk.

Kapalua Beach - just outside our sliding glass door.

Getting a lot of sleep… (well, five – six hours a night is a lot for me), long training sessions at the local gym and plenty of time in the ocean and on the beach with Andrew and Chloe.

We're also getting a lot of excitement and exploring in. Like the giant sea turtle that chased my wife out of the ocean, and the rental car that's attracted to telephone poles (consider saying YES to insurance the next time you rent a car).

Good times for sure

If you ever get a chance to visit Maui make sure to do so. We come here often. It’s one of those places on earth that make you want to slow down and appreciate things more. And as entrepreneurs we sometimes need to be slowed down.

But the real reason for this blog post is not to tell you about my annual vacations to Maui or that you should come out here if you can.

I’m writing this post because I’ve got a gift for you…

…it’s a complete system for getting a bunch of new of clients in only 7 days. This is something I’ve been testing with a few of my coaching clients and it’s been working REALLY well, for all the obvious reason (which you’ll see in just a minute) and while I had planned on packaging it up and selling it as an info product, I decided to give it away to you as my THANK YOU gift to you for being such an awesome client, customer, and subscriber.

So I’m gonna hook you up with the following…

Three ready-to-mail-out promotional email templates

A 14 day meal plan to use with your new clients (you’ll find the link to download these below)

An entire “what to say and how to say it” script to get yourself a boatload of new clients.

This is a turnkey system that works. It’s proven and in-the-trenches tested.

In fact, if you’ve ever used my now famous “21 day Rapid Fat Loss Program” promotion, then you know how powerful and effective these tactics are at getting new clients into your funnel.

My son and daughter having a blast on the beach

Like I said, I had originally planned on making this into an info product and selling it, but I decided to just give the whole thing away to you here on my blog as my gift to you.

The only thing I ask is that you not disregard this JUST BECAUSE IT’S FREE. That would be a huge mistake on your part.

Some trainers who use this client getting system will end up with a dozen (or two or three) new clients within a week. And others might only get a handful of new clients. It all depends on the size of your email list and how well they know, like and trust you.

If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time then you know how I’m always telling you to build an email list of clients, prospects, past clients, and business and media contacts. Because when you have a list, you can literally make money on demand.

In fact if you have even a modest size email list – you’re gonna kill it with this promotion.

******************************************************************************

NOTE: If you don’t have an email list and don’t know where to begin and how to build an email list then start here >> The #1 Email Management and List Building Program Used and Trusted By Thousands of Fitness Trainers Worldwide.

*******************************************************************************

The other thing about this promo is that you’ve gotta train the new people you get in a group or boot camp style setting and not the traditional one on one type of training.

Makes sense, right?

Okay, so here’s the promo and the details on how you’re gonna run it to make sure it’s a success.

I call it the 14 Day Fat Flush Program.

The whole idea behind this promotion is to get people who are sitting on the fence and “thinking” about training with you to take the plunge by making them an irresistible offer that overcomes the two big objections that most buyers have… TIME and MONEY.

Aaand this promotion is designed to give your prospects a lower barrier of entry into your training program where they can sample your program, get to know you better, realize that you’re an awesome trainer and that they had been missing out on the best training program in the area all along.

It’s a funny things, but once people figure out what they’ve been missing and how awesome of a trainer you really are they somehow find a way to afford your services and in fact they make the time to come in and get the results.

The details…

Since this is a three sequence email promo you’re gonna start the promotion and sign up process on a Monday and then start the actual 14 Day Fat Flush training program the following Monday.

I’m not gonna discuss how to train these clients during the 14 day fat flush program. I’m guessing you’re an awesome trainer and that you know how to train people in a group, keep them moving and motivated and get them to burn a lot of calories in an hour.

If you need help with the training or want to get some killer out of the box training ideas then check out Craig Ballantyne’s Turbulance Training and Shawna Kaminski’s Female Fat Loss Over Forty. Both ebooks will give you a TON of training ideas and programs to use during the 14 Day Fat Flush program.

Okay, let's get started. This is going to be a three phase thing.

The girls chillin in the water

Phase One: Promote the program and get as many people into the 14 day program as possible. Below are the three emails you’re going to use to promote this new program.

Email # 1: This email goes out the first Monday of the promotion. It’s designed to only tease the promo and stimulate interest before you launch it on Wednesday.

*****************************************************************************

Subject Line: I discovered faster fat loss

Hey there,

I’ve stumbled upon something pretty significant recently while working with several of my clients who wanted to achieve faster fat loss.

This new discovery I made proved to be pretty amazing at melting fat off the body. It’s a combination of working out in a short burst, high intensity kind of way and a manipulation (for a lack of a better word) of your eating program – NOT A DIET.

But here’s the coolest part of this thing… the results come FAST. In fact the entire program lasts 14 days and the results are amazing.

I’m considering offering this program to a small group of people who are interested in burning a lot of fat in 14 days.

So I’m calling it my “14 Day Fat Flush system," but before I commit to doing a program like this, I wanted to see how many people on my email list would be interested in a 14 day rapid fat loss program like this.

If you think you’d be interested in joining my small group of “beta testers” and getting fast fat loss results in 14 days, then hit reply to this email and let me know and I’ll let you know if and when I plan to launch this 14 Day Fat Flush system.

Thanks a bunch!

<< Your Name >>

*******************************************************************************

Email #2 This email is the first of your “pitch” emails and goes out on Wednesday.

Subject Line: Re: 14 Day Fat Flush System

A couple days ago I sent you an email telling you about the new rapid fat loss program I stumbled upon while working with a few of my training clients.

Since that email on Monday I’ve been flooded with emails from folks who want to join my 14 Day Fat Flush “beta” program so I decided that I’m going to take on 15 new clients into this program and I’m starting it this coming Monday <<Date >> at <<Time>> at <<Location >>.

Here are some details about the program that you should know before you join:

This is a 14 day training and nutrition (manipulation) program that’s relatively intense. You’re going to work hard for two weeks BUT your results are going to come fast and will be significant when you follow the program.

Some people will lose six to twelve pounds during these two weeks and a couple dress and pant sizes.

The program is simple in its brilliance. You’ll come and workout with me three to five days per week for two weeks, and eat the foods that I’ve outlined for you in the program. It’s simple actually – just read it and eat it and the results will come.

You will experience soreness in your muscles. Nothing too bad, but definitely some soreness letting you know that you just had an awesome workout.

And the eating program I give you will NOT be a starvation diet. I’m totally against starvation diets. It’s actually a decent amount of calories manipulated in a crafty way to help your body burn maximum fat and to retain muscle tone during the 14 days.

I think you’ll actually enjoy it.

Now here’s the best part of this whole thing… the cost.

Since this is my beta version and since I’m only taking on a small group of 15 new clients on this program. I’ve priced it for anyone to afford.

The entire 14 Day Fat Flush program is only $67.

Like I said the program starts this coming Monday <<Date >> at <<Time>> at <<Location >>. So if you want to be one of the first 15 people on the program and get a lot of fat burning and muscle tone done in only 14 days then you need to call me now at (XXX) XXX-XXXX to lock in your spot for this Monday.

Or you can go to this website and register for it there <<YourSpecialSiteForThisPromo.com>>

If you have any questions just reply to this email or call me at (XXX) XXX-XXXX.
This program is going to sell out quick at this low price and with the limited number of spots available. So be sure to call me at the number above, reply to this email, or just go to this site to register <<YourSpecialSiteForThisPromo.com>>.

Looking forward to seeing you in the program this coming Monday!

<YOUR NAME>
*******************************************************************************

Email # 3 This is goes out to your list on the Friday morning before the Monday start date.

Subject: Last call, only 3 spots left (hurry up)

I had a feeling I was going to get a bunch of people who were interested in my new 14 Day Fat Flush program, but I had no idea it was going to sell out in only two days.

I originally had 15 spots open, and since the email this past Wednesday I only have three spots available for the 14 day fat flush program. And since it’s only $67 the spots sold out quickly.

But you can still get one of the three remaining spots if you call me at (XXX) XXX-XXXX or reply to this email and tell you that you want in.

The program starts this Monday <<Date >> at <<Time>> at <<Location >>.

And, in case you missed the last email, here are the details of the 14 day fat flush program:

The program is simple in it’s brilliance. You’ll come and workout with me three to five days per week for two weeks (14 days), and eat the foods that I’ve outlined for you in the program.

So be sure to take one of the three remaining spots and join us this Monday <<Date >> at <<Time>> at <<Location >> for the kick start of your 14 day fat flush program.

To lock in your spot just call me at (XXX) XXX-XXXX or reply to this email with your phone number or just go to this site to register <YourSpecialSiteForThisPromo.com>.

Looking forward to seeing you this Monday

<< Your Name>>

************************************************************************

NOTE: You can also promote this on your Facebook profile too.

Phase Two: Give these folks the BEST workout of their life. Come with a ton of energy, passion, and enthusiasm! And make sure they stick to their nutrition program. (honestly, it doesn’t matter if they follow the nutrition program that I give you or if you give them something of your own.) The key is to get them to take in less calories than they are now and get them to burn 500 or more calories per workout.

I made sure to not hit the tree, but ran into the telephone pole with the rental car.

Here are the two meal plans for you. They're both 7 day meal plans that can be used as much as 4 week in a row. Or you can create your own meal plans for your clients.

Click here to download the 1300 cal meal plan >>

Click here to download the 1700 cal meal plan >>

(Legal stuff: Consult a nutritionist, RD, doctor, lawyer and your great aunt before prescribing or using the meal plans above.)

Phase Three: This is the most important part of the whole thing, because this is where you’re going to convert as many of these 14 day members into your “regular programs” so here’s what you do next:

On day 12 of the 14 day fat flush program you are going to offer each member of the program a killer deal to join your regular program. The offer is going to be this. Before they reach day 14 of the program they commit to trying one month of your regular program (to ensure they get continued results and reach their goals) and you will give them two bonus weeks free.

Here's how you fix a front quarter panel on a car if the passanger door is stuck shut after smashing into a phone pole

So I’d say something like this:

“Mrs. Jones, I have some awesome news for you! First off I’m so proud of you! You have been working really hard the last 12 days and I’m seeing a lot of changes in you so I want to extend an opportunity for you to continue to get these amazing results and to get two weeks of boot camp free. When you commit to signing up for a month of my “regular” program before your 14 day fat flush programs comes to an end in two days, I’m going to give you two bonus weeks for free, making it a total of six weeks for the price of four. Let’s get you started on that, okay? And when you decide to continue after those six weeks just let me know and I’ll get you locked in at my lowest possible program price for the month to month program. Fair enough?”

The idea is for you to make them a killer offer and ask them to make a decision before their 14 day fat flush program ends. And as they work their way up your ascension ladder (to the monthly program plus two bonus weeks), you’ll want to get them committed to an ongoing program that’s recurring on auto debit (EFT).

Out shopping with the family.

(If you don’t do auto debit then check this post out for all the details.)

Hope you take this gift and kill it by loading up your boot camp or group training program with a ton more clients and then converting them into “regular” clients.

I’m gonna go and take the family on a really cool drive on the road to Hana and visit the seven sacred (lava) pools.

I wanna hear from you. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think below

Hey Bedros here,

I hope you’re doing awesome and that your personal training and boot camp business is kicking butt!

In just a second I’m gonna tell you how you can win a VIP All Access pass for you and a guest to Fitness Business Summit 11.

I’m writing this blog post from Phoenix, Arizona where I’ll be speaking along side Paula Abdul at Joe Polish’s platinum seminar.

I spent the last three days just relaxing and recovering from Fitness Business Summit before flying out to Phoenix for Joe’s event.

Each year FBS gets bigger and better and this year it was HUGE and sold out weeks in advance with over 300 fitness trainers in attendance from nine countries, the most awesome presenters EVER, tons of money, Ipads, computers, and flip camps were given away and we raised over $5,000 for Shriners Children’s hospital and the Make a Wish foundation…

… A-N-D we had this HUGE marching band come through the entire ballroom and there were AMAZING! Just ask anyone who was there

For me, this was an EPIC event where top fitness professionals from all over the globe get together to learn, share, and get inspired.

The famous "Money Attraction Booth". Several hundred dollars were won

I started Fitness Business Summit back in 2007 because the year before my application to present personal trainer marketing and sales tactics got rejected by both NSCA and IDEA.

So I figured I’d start my own seminar where I’d share real world client getting tactics that had helped me grow my personal training business to $500,000 in gross revenue and I’d invite other top producers to share their secrets.

Well, kinda like Josh Carter says, in 07 FBS was pretty much Josh, me, Pete (my bro in law and partner – not in that way… not that there’s anything wrong with that ) , and Di my wife along with a handful of trainers standing around in a taco bell parking lot.

But today, Fitness Business Summit is THE business building, client getting, short cut getting event that sets and breaks all industry standards and expectations.

I mean just the marching band alone was worth attending – seriously – BABOO!

All the money that was collected and donated to Shriners Childrens Hospital

So I thought what I’d do with this blog post is give the attendees who were at FBS10 and past Fitness Business Summits attendees the opportunity to share their big take-a-ways from the weekend and hopefully this will give YOU some gems and nuggets to help in your fitness business.

And the person who leave the most high value and inspiring comment will win the FBS11 VIP All Access pass for two.

So if you were at FBS10 or any other FBS in the past…

What did you anticipate before coming to FBS?

What were your big take-a-aways that you’re going to use in your fitness business?

And what kind of results are you expecting or have gotten from using what you leaned from FBS?

Just answer the three questions above in the comment box below and on Monday I’ll announce the big winner.

Three hundred plus trainers (and Joe Polish)

Wish me luck at Joe’s event. I’m gonna show Paula a couple of new moves I picked up from the Tone It Up girls at FBS.

Hey there, Bedros Keuilian here…
Here's a really cool guest post by my friends Bob Burg and John David Mann, coauthors of The Go-Giver and Go-Givers Sell More. (...)

Hey there, Bedros Keuilian here…

Here's a really cool guest post by my friends Bob Burg and John David Mann, coauthors of The Go-Giver and Go-Givers Sell More.

“I’m no good at selling!” Have you ever heard someone say that? Or maybe said it yourself? (Now, tell the truth.)

We hear it all the time. Everyone who is not in sales thinks, “I could never sell” — and most people who are in sales secretly think the same thing.

There is a reason people feel this way: most of us look at sales backwards. Backwards how? In the most fundamental ways.

For example.

They see sales as convincing people to do something they don’t want to do. It’s not: it is about learning what people do want to do and then helping them do that.

They think sales is about taking advantage of others. Not so: in fact, it’s about giving others more advantage.

Most people think of sales as a talking business. Nope: it’s really a listening business.

Classic sales training focuses on the “close.” The true sales greats hardly notice the close — they are too busy focusing on the open.

But the biggest inversion of all, the great upside-down misconception about sales, is that it is an effort to get other people to do something. Ask most anyone to define sales and you will hear some variation of this: “Sales is getting people to buy something.”

The truth about sales is that it isn’t about getting at all. Sales at its best, at its most effective, is precisely the opposite: it is about — get ready for this — giving.

The word “sales” itself suggests this. It is derived from the Old English word sellan, which means, you guessed it, “to give.” Selling is giving: giving time, attention, counsel, education, empathy and value.

Of course, this is not how most of us have learned to think about sales. The traditional approach to sales aims to choreograph the process by putting control firmly in the hands of the salesperson. Which is probably why neither party really enjoys it. It’s not much fun to have someone try to control you. For that matter, it’s not much fun to be the one doing the controlling, either.

The problem is that little word, “control.” You can’t do it.

Nobody can.

The classic sales process succeeds if you “make a sale.” But you can’t make a sale. Again, no one can. It’s impossible to make a sale, because no one can truly make other people do what they want them to do.

What you can do is create a context that allows a sale to happen when the other person makes a purchase. This is not semantics: this is the secret of all great salespeople.

When you spend time with a genuinely successful salesperson, pay close attention and you’ll find something surprising: none of the hundreds of standard sales techniques are what makes them excel at what they do.

Genuinely great salespeople are not great because they have mastered “the close,” or because they give a dazzling presentation, or because they could shoot holes in any customer objection from fifty paces. They are great because they create a vast and spreading sphere of good will wherever they go. They enrich, enhance and add value to people’s lives.

They make people happier.

How do they do that? What is it that makes them great?

What makes a great salesperson great at sales is that he or she is wholeheartedly interested in the other person. The truth about selling is that it’s not about your product, and it’s not about you — it’s about the other person.

The remarkable thing about these consummate salespeople is that they are not as rare as you might think. In fact, you can find them everywhere. This is because being adept at sales does not require mastery of complex or elaborate skills.

The laws that govern good salesmanship are the laws that govern good relationships. Selling is not at its core a business transaction; it is first and foremost the forging of a human connection.

This is very good news, because it means that anyone can be great in sales.

It means you can be great in sales.

You might think that to do so, you need to have an outgoing, naturally jovial, gregarious personality. Not true. Shy people create relationships and get married. Introverts make great friends. You don’t need to be a “people person,” or any specific type of person, to be great at selling. In fact, the idea itself — that you might have to be a certain sort of person to be great in sales — precisely misses the point:

It’s not about you; it’s about them.

If you take away nothing from this post but those seven words, it will have been well worth the time to read it — because your life in sales will transform.

Bedros here again, If you have never read The Go-Giver I highly suggest that you do. It' one of the three books I send out to all of my mastermind members. It's an awesome short read.

And if you want to get your hands on their newest book you can order your copy of Go-Givers Sell More by going here: http://www.GoGiversSellMore.com/

A “how to sell fitness” post by Bedros Keuilian

There's all this talk about fitness marketing, and lead generation and prospecting…

…but no amount of marketing, lead gen, or prospecting can put money in the bank, food in your stomach, and a roof over your head UNLESS you can sell fitness – unless you can convert that prospect into a paying client.

Every “guru” talks about personal trainer marketing and all the ways you can get more leads and prospects in front of you – and to some extent, I’m guilty of it too.

But you know what? The truth is that nothing happens until you make that sale.

Until and unless you can sit across from that prospect and give them a well scripted and crafted presentation you’re not gonna get a dime from them.

See people don’t buy based on logic, we all make our buying decisions based on emotions, on wants and not needs.

There’s actually a really easy seven step process to selling fitness…

Step 1. Rapport. Establish rapport. People by from people they LIKE. Get to know your prospect and get them to know you, and like you, and trust you.

Step 2. Want. Peel the onion by asking a lot of questions that will get your prospect to identify what they WANT. Ask open ended questions like: Tell me why you’ve decided to looking into getting into shape now instead of 12 months ago?

If I can snap my fingers and give you the body of your dreams, can you tell me what your body would look like?

How will you’re relationship with the people that you love change once you’re in shape?

Questions like that will get your prospect to tell you what they really want… their hot buttons. And if you really want to dig deeper and keep pealing that onion just ask: How do you mean that?

Step 3. Benefits. Once you know what the prospect wants start talking BENEFITS and not features.

Step 4. Urgency. It’s human nature… we’re all lazy, and if it were up to you, you’d go home to “think about it” and leave it for tomorrow. But the thing is tomorrow never comes. If you want to make that sale NOW you’ve got to get your prospect to feel an overwhelming sense of urgency to take action.

Step 5. Commitment. This is where 99% of personal trainers lose the sale – they fail to get commitment from the prospect. The idea to get a bunch of mini closes before asking for the sale.

Step 6. Cost. Odds are if someone has contacted you about your personal training or boot camp program then they probably expect to pay more than just a Curves or gym membership. So really the cost issue is more of an issue about VALUE.

During your sales presentation you’ve got to build the perceived value of your service so high, so that when you actually lay out your program prices, the prospects feels they’re getting a KILLER deal.

See, it’s not about the person’s ability to afford your services– it’s about their desire to afford you. If someone wants something bad enough, they’ll find a way to afford it.

Step 7. Close. This is where almost every personal trainer loses the deal. Even if you have a really awesome crafted sales presentation. Even if you got a bunch of mini closes. And even if you established amazing rapport – you’re probably going to lose the sale IF you don’t ask for it, or if you ask for the wrong way.

The bottom line is this…

If you think that you’re going to get to six, multiple six or even seven figures in your training business just by prospecting or lead generation then the sad truth is that you’re always going to frustrated with the level of income you generate – no matter how many killer fitness marketing tactics you know.

Nothing happens until a sale is made. You don’t get money. And your prospect doesn’t get into shape.

And no one knows that better than my coaching client Samantha Taylor, from Lutz, Florida who just had a record breaking month and sold $79,585.00 in personal training services.

Congrats Samantha!

It’s no wonder you’ll find her success story here along with dozens of others who us my Close Clients personal training sales system and script.

I’d like to hear what you think…

Another kick ass fitness marketing post
Hey, Bedros Keuilian here, I hope you’re good and that you fitness business is rock’in! (...)

Another kick ass fitness marketing post

Hey, Bedros Keuilian here, I hope you’re good and that you fitness business is rock’in!

Check this out, the other day I asked my Facebook friends for some blog post ideas and Rafael Moret came up with one that I thought was killer.

He wants to know how to craft an irresistible offer without giving away the kitchen sink.

You know what? I say give way the kitchen sink and the whole kitchen.

I’ll explain what I mean in just a second.

These days people are skeptical.

They don’t trust you.

And they automatically assume that you’re out to get them until you prove that you’re a decent person. It used to be the other way around, rememeber?

And that’s why your offers have gotta be more dialed in than ever before.

Running an ad in the local paper for a free personal training session is lame. That used to work… like five years ago.

And a business card with all your credentials on it and the alphabet soup peppered after your name – useless.

A crafty logo and tag line? Forget about it.

What consumers want today BEFORE they buy are these four things:

1. A promise that you’re the solution to a problem they have.
2. Proof that your REALLY are the solution for that problem.
3. A RISK FREE opportunity to “test drive” your solution.
4. And tremendous value – in other words they want to know they are getting WAY more then they are paying for.

And that’s the formula for a KILLER irresistible offer.

So lets break it down and check out some real life examples.

Last year, my buddy Josh Carter, who’s also one of my top coaching clients, crafted an offer where he gave away two weeks of personal training or just $1 and if they liked the training they got in those two weeks they automatically rolled into a regular training program with Josh’s team of trainers.

Josh also peppered the postcard with tons of before and after pictures of actual clients giving further credibility and proof that he is a bad ass trainer who delivers results.

It goes without saying that this offer BLEW up for him and got him a ton of clients.

Another coaching client and friend, Sam “seven figure Sam” Bakhtiar ran with the same two weeks for a buck offer, but we added another level of irresistibleness to it.

He also crafted the agreement where your first two weeks were for a $1 and if you chose to stay on board you’d automatically roll into a discount ongoing program, BUT he further removed all risk by offering a 30 day money back guarantee if you were not satisfied with the results your were getting.

Talk about an irresistible offer right?

Sam also offered double your money back guarantee. Why? Because his competitors don’t and that says LOT to the prospect.

Here’s the deal. You’re in one of the few businesses where you can charge people relatively large sums of money on a recurring basis. Take advantage of that fact and give away the kitchen sink.

Even if you made such a killer offer that you broke even the first month (or heck, even lost money the first month), you should know that as long as you delivered the results as promised, and have the client committed to a monthly recurring payment that you’re gonna make a lot of money on future months.

And that’s the name of the game.

****Side Note****

I was gonna post images that went along with this post (like I usually do), but honestly I couldn't find anything that worked. So instead I went with these weird and funny pictures. Hope you liked them as much as I did

This weekend confirmed something to me that I already knew. But it’s important for YOU to know this.

The economy is what you make it.

People are still willing to part with their money – IF – you give them a good enough reason to.

And in fact folks are willing to part with a ton of money if you can deliver value, status and exclusivity.

Let me explain…

On Friday we went to Club 33 for a private party kinda thing. Club 33 is a VERY exclusive restaurant / club located inside a hidden section of Disneyland.

Membership is $25,000.

The waiting list to become a member is only 14 years.

In fact, they stopped adding people to the waiting list last year because it was getting too long.

Club 33 is the ONLY place inside Disneyland that serves alcohol and food ain’t cheap…

… but the experience, exclusivity, and value they deliver makes you feel okay about spending a crap ton of money to have access.

Can't tell you how I got a picture of the toilet in the ladies restroom of Club 33 - but here it is

My point is this…

They have a waiting list of people for the next 14 years who are willing to pay $25K to become a member.

Trust me, it’s not because the booze or food are any better at Club 33 than at any other high class restaurant.

It’s because of the value, exclusivity, and experience they deliver that makes people want to fork over a bunch of money.

The next day I was at the LA Auto show checking out the new rides coming out (I have this thing for fast shiny cars I guess).

In fact I even ran into a client – Tommy Lundy.

It’s cool being recognized from time to time. That’s me and Tommy in the picture below (thanks for sending over the pic Tommy).

I digress…

Walking around at the LA Auto show I noticed that BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Lexus and Jag had the most people buzzing around their cars. And most of the people buzzing around where talking about ownership.

Ran into Tommy at the auto show

They were asking buying questions and not just tire kicking.

Funny that the economy is in the shitter but folks still want to spend money on things that bring them value, status, and exclusivity.

See the thing is Club 33, BMW, Mercedes, Jag, Lexus, Audi, Starbucks, The Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Virgin United, Lucky Brand, Sevens, and Cristal all imply higher value, better experience, and exclusivity…

… and that’s why we’re willing to pay so much more.

How about you?

How can you do that for your personal training or boot camp business so you can attract people who are willing to pay top dollar?

Lexus' first super car - the LFA (a bad ass ride)

Like the brands I listed above you gotta be…

- be known for something
- get talked about by the community
- exceeding people’s expectations
- and OVERDELIVERING Value, Experience, and Exclusivity

See, there’s a difference between people’s ability to pay versus their desire to pay.
If you can deliver… they’ll pay.

Leave a comment below and let me know what you think.

I hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving and enjoyed hanging out with your family (for those of you living in the U.S.). (...)

I hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving and enjoyed hanging out with your family (for those of you living in the U.S.).

I agreed to go to Costco with my wife the other day since we were going to host Thanksgiving dinner here at our house.

(For those of you who don’t know, Costco is one of those mega warehouses type membership stores where you can buy EVERYTHING in bulk.)

Anyhow, I’m fortunate enough where I don’t have to see the inside of a supermarket for months at a time…

… and I like it that way.

So I was actually excited to go shopping for a change. And once we got into Costco I realized that this company is really on top of their shit.

1. They’re membership based. So even if you never step foot in the store you’re still paying them something each month or year. They have EFT dialed in.

2. They understand that people are willing to pay more for bulk if they’ll save more “per unit”. If you still selling single sessions or small blocks of sessions then you’re leaving a TON of money on the table. (in which case pay the $57, get Close Clients, and in an hour you’ll know exactly how to sell BIG multi thousand dollar programs).

3. They’re handing out samples on every isle. This works on two levels…

a. The law of reciprocity. (read Robert Cialdini’s “Influence” to learn more on that).
b. We’re seven times more likely to buy something if we “test drive” it.

4. They understand the importance of getting the prospect’s attention with strong headlines. Check out the picture I took of the product below. Freak’in brilliant, right? LOL… Got Turkey Neck?

5. They’re customer service is unmatched. Costco has a policy where they will automatically double the manufacturers warranty on any product you purchase from them. A-N-D they offer a refund policy that is unmatched by anyone in the retail business.

The equivalent would be if you if you offered a double guarantee that stated: a. Guaranteed to get in you in shape twice as fast as the big box health clubs. And b. Follow my program for 60 days and if you don’t lose X inches and X pounds I’ll give you full refund.

How can any mega gym compete with that?

They can’t!

And that’s why YOU’RE gonna blow it up!
