Hey, do you want to talk about lead generation?
Do you want to know the real secret to attracting clients? Do you want to know the biggest thing you’re doing wrong with your online and offline marketing?
If you’re frustrated with your fitness marketing system, both online and offline, and want to know what you’re doing wrong and how to improve it, I’m going to show you.
I’m going to show you the simplest and easiest way to get new clients. I call it my, “Fitness Marketing Funnel.” Pay attention.
I want you to imagine your personal training business as having a marketing funnel.
We’re going to talk about lead generation. The problem that most personal trainers have with their marketing pieces, whether you’re sending out postcards, printed fliers, or ads in local publications or online, is that most personal trainers use these strategies to try and sell right off the page.
See, the problem is that that’s never going to work when you’re trying to sell a multi-thousand dollar personal training program.
Whether it’s a boot camp that costs several hundred dollars a month, or one-on-one training that costs several thousand dollars for 12 months, you need to understand that when you do marketing for personal training business, you never try and sell off the page.
What you’ve got to do is follow a two-step lead generation system. That’s where this marketing funnel is so important.
Your marketing needs to be based on lead generation.
The two-step system works like this. Say you send out a postcard and it makes an offer for a free report and audio program by you, the local fitness expert.
See, that’s a low barrier of entry. When you send that out, you’re sending that out to your community. We’re going to identify the people in your community as “suspects”.
Now, what we want to do is pour people into this funnel. The only people we want to pour into there are called “prospects“. You put your offer out there to all the suspects, and anybody who is interested in your fitness and weight loss report, e-book, or audio program, is going to then go to your website or call you.
By doing that, they’re identifying themselves as prospects, which is cool. Now they’re in your fitness marketing funnel.
Now, this funnel’s really cool because once they’re prospects, we know they’re no longer suspects. There’s something critical that most personal trainers and marketing people forget.
This is called “conversion time“.
Conversion time is very important. This is the time where a prospect gets to know, like, and trust you through multiple contacts that your multiple points of contact with them online and offline.
I prefer online marketing using an online newsletter, email marketing, or videos. It’s cheaper and more effective in building stronger relationships with prospects.
Overtime, they’re going to go through that conversion process.
Now, I should straighten something out here. Some prospects will immediately become clients.
But most will have to go through this conversion time, which is important.
Conversion time could be a couple weeks, a couple months, or even a few years.
I’ve had a lot of personal trainers say that they received my newsletter for years before finally deciding to buy one of my programs. Then, once they buy one of the programs, they end up buying others.
I want you to think the same way.
You’re going to have email and newsletter marketing, so people can go from suspects, to prospects, to sitting through conversion time. Then they become clients.
Now here’s what’s important. You’re still going to continue sending newsletters, emails, and videos to your clients. Each of these videos, and newsletters, and email broadcasts are going to have great content.
Then, they’re going to ask for referrals.
Now, what’s cool about referrals is that the conversion time is a lot less because they come from qualified clients. These referrals already know, like, and trust your clients. You’re going to have an easier time converting them into paying clients.
The cool thing about this is that the cycle just continues, and you get more referrals and more clients.
Let me show you an example of one of my mentorship clients and what he does. He utilizes all types of email broadcasts. In fact he uses Fit Pro Newsletter, the technology I’ve created for sending out email broadcasts and newsletters on a consistent basis.
His name is Sam Bakhtiar, and he currently makes seven figures a year out of a personal training studio.
What’s really cool here is that all of his marketing pieces online and offline, including post cards, print-to-ads, press releases, and even pay per clicks and organic searches, come to this website.
People get his reports and his postcards. If they decide they want to get his report instead of his program, they identify themselves as leads. They put in their name and email address, download his report, and fall into his marketing funnel as prospects.
We’ve got like five, or six, or eight different lead generators and reports in our Fit Pro Newsletter that you can use on your website, just like Sam did.
Again, it’s all testimonial based and lead generation based. We don’t try and sell anybody off the page, cause it doesn’t work.
Identify the suspects, get them to become prospects, put them through the conversion time.
Then they’re going to become clients.
Then we’re going to condition them through email and newsletter marketing to send you referrals.
Then those referrals are going to turn into clients, and the system goes on, and on, and on. That’s what you want to grow your personal training business.
I hope it all makes sense.
Here’s what I want you to do now. I want you to go to FitProNewsletter.com and see if it’s right for you. I have a feeling it is, because thousands of fitness professionals use it all over the world, and they’re growing their businesses.
Committed to your success,
Bedros
