Hey Dave,

Great insights mate
Thanks for taking the time to write this up

I'm just getting into the email marketing side of things and this will prove invaluable.

I linked up with Get Response as they seem to offer alot more than aweber, like Video Emails for example.

Cheers and have an awesome 2010

Michael Duivis,

For starters you must get as many people as you can on your newsletter. I use FitProNewsletter on the 1st and 15th like most of you (If for some reason you don't have this, get it, this is a MUST have!!!). In the past I was sending out broadcasts from FPN, but I have stopped only so I could make more targeted broadcasts with my awebber accounts. I have lots of different websites and landing pages with different promotions. Perhaps I will write something soon explaining the reasons behind why I'm splitting the lists.

So other than having the newsletter with killer content going out twice a month you want to continually provide some great specials that don't require a long term commitment. For a $200 boot camp you should look at a low entry point fitness product to offer. A 14 day or 21 day product that has some information and workouts would be the best way to go. Many of the master mind group are having great success with a 21 Day Boot Camp promotion that Bedros taught us. My conversion after 21 days has been 100% in to my monthly and 3 month body transformation programs. In most cases I'm turning a $147 offer into $399 per quarter.

However, even before you put out the 21 Day Boot Camp or 14 day Boot Camp you want to find ways you can get them to come out and try your services at no risk. A free Saturday Boot Camp and our "Bring a Friend Friday" works great for us!

I also have a tip for anyone who might be nervous about sending too many emails. We can sometimes get 12 to 20 people unsubscribe when I send out some promotions. This is why I'm now going to offer access to a Hypersensitive Newsletter. This is a Newsletter list that I will blast emails to daily! I call it A.D.D. Dave! Here is what that landing page looks like http://davedepew.com/adddave.html. I will be setting up about a 100 auto responder emails this year to go with that newsletter. I hope this tip is of value to some of you.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words about the post. It was very cool of Bedros to ask me to write this post, it was lots of fun getting this ready.

I wish you all huge success is 2010!!!

Dave this was a great post - very in-depth, I read it twice.

I wonder though, how long should the funnel be when selling bootcamp packages that run $200/month?

Obviously this is not overly expensive. And the only 'funnel' I can think of is email marketing + autoresponders + blog (get them on my list.... and that's it pretty much)

What other tactics would you use?

If you are wanting to send a series of AUTOMATED emails then yes you will need another service such as aweber, 1shoppingcart, etc. (I use 1shopping cart b/c of the html form code but aweber looks nicer in my opinion).

I think they are planning to add this feature to fitpro along with a segmentation feature but not sure of the ETA.

If you don't require the emails to be automated you can do it all inside fitpro with the broadcast feature, which in some ways I reccomend. Write your whole series of emails in word or soemthing so you can smith them the way you want then create the broadcasts and send on the days you want this way no transferring or exporting contacts etc as the mass adding contacts into other software can get your account flagged as to whther your a spammer.

Hope that helps.

Good post, no matter how many times I read something on marketing funnels are always good nuggets of information! Thanks!

Robert when you send them the newsletters is it driving them to your website? What is the call to action on your website? What is going to make them take action today?

Perhaps the copy on your website isn't resonating with the pain that your prospects are feeling??

Hope that helps.

Great Marketing funnel blog. Sounds like T.Harv Eker approach.

Question for anyone.

I am using Bedros' automated Fit Pro Newsletter.

I love it for the rich content, awesome marketing tools like e-books, consultation page, referral a friend e-mail series, bi-weekly schedule and so on...

What I am looking for though is the generation of clients from this newsletter being sent out (turn suspects to prospects to clients).

Am I doing something wrong?

Do I need this auto-mated fitness newsletter and another auto-responder to create series of special offer e-mails?

I believe this would allow me to categorize the suspects better to send them "my company" special offer then convert them to trying my service.

Does this make sense?

Don't get me wrong, I love the quality content and the re-occurring e-mails of Fit-Pro.

Thx. (any suggestions, Aweber, constant contact, 1shoppingcart???)
