Sara-- I just had to deal with this firsthand. When you go to a gym, there are always specials running. People know that they might get a better deal some day in the future-- just like in the real world. Don't let it stress you out.

But at the end of the day, if it means keeping a customer happy, then I would come down in price for the higher-paying customer to keep them loyal and happy. Say something like "I don't usually do this, but you are one of our most motivated and results-driven clients-- I really appreciate you-- I'll go ahead and lower your price." Flattery always works. That's just my two cents.

B-- Great friggen' post. Safe travels, and ill see you at the summit.

Question - Bedros, I want to implement Program Design Fee into my business from the next fiscal year coming up the way Cosgrove does at his gym. How can I start doing this without - should I use a 1 month notice? And how can I explain the WHY to my current clients?

Anyone else on here who is willing to help out do let me know guys.

Thanks!

Awesome information. It's amazing how applicable your information is to businesses other than Personal Training. I'm a Chiropractor and I've learned far more from you, Chris McCombs, Craig Ballantyne and Ryan Lee than I have from ANYONE in my profession - thanks!!!

Hey Bedros,
Thanks for the great information. Question for you about point #2 - increase price point by 10% - what happens to existing clients at that original rate and how do you deal with 2 different priced clients within a boot camp?
And EFT is definitely the way to go.

The good, better, and best options work really well.

By offering a "Cadillac" option, it makes the lower end price seem affordable. You get a lot less resistance to the prices I find when you give them these options.

I'm curious how many people out there maximize their profits and leverage their time by training with technology such as online training software?

I'm missing out on your expertise with these videos. I miss having something written that I could print and read at my liesure without having to plug in to a computer. Auditory learning is not my greatest strength.
