@Michael Duivis, I understand your position. But can't you dial in your marketing to the point were you can have a full roster and then pass the overflow of clients another trainer who you can do a revenue share with?

Once you leverage one thing the others stuff becomes easier. Before lon you're running a few bootcamps, creating info prodcuts and not working any harder than you are today.

I agree with all this, BUT if a PT like me is just starting out, it's pretty tough not to be a dollar trader.

I would love to outsource many things (like internet marketing, or even doing the laundry for that part) but with no money to hire anyone, what are your guys idea's on leveraging your time advantageously?

Great post mate. I have to admit to either being guilty of one or more of those, and even worse, STILL being guilty of one or 2 of them. Having said that 2009 is a turnaround year for me and I will be checking out of those situations, and checking into the ideals that you mention in this post. You set amazing standards in the industry and thank you for your contributions.

I've been guilty of the one at a timer.
Need to get in the habit of doing several things at once.
Things that are beneficial and will contribute to the bottom line of the business, as well as benefit my lifestyle.

Some of my resolutions for the year are to analyze every project that comes my way.
If a project has big potential, say yes and see it through to completion. No "Tire Kicking".
If a project does not have big potential, say no. No matter how fun or interesting it may seem, I have to learn to say no to projects that won't accelerate my biz.

I can relate to a few of those. Great post, I like your to the point writing style. I was thinking about opening a studio.

Is this the right time? Does anyone else feel that this may not be the best time for a studio, or do i open now and get the better price on rent and equipt?
