Last week I told you how a burger chain is using testimonials to win major market share throughout California. I even showed you an actual case study of one of my mentorship clients who uses testimonials in his marketing material to blow the competition out of the water.
This week I want to give you something to think about. So I’m going to step up onto my soapbox for a moment and explain something very valuable to you.
Sure, this “rant” may cost me some subscribers… but those aren’t the subscribers I want on my newsletter list anyway.
If you’ve been a subscriber to my newsletter for any given time then you already know that I don’t have television. Sure I have a TV set in the house – but it’s basically there to take up space.
I have no cable, no dish, and no local channels.
So I had no idea that the economy was in the crapper. I had no idea that the war was ruining business. And I certainly had no idea that crime and poverty were at an all time high.
Silly me – and here I am growing my businesses at break neck speeds and helping my clients and customers multiply their training profits.
The clowns that believe that the world and the economy are in crisis are spending too much time watching TV, reading “the news”, and listening to the talking heads on TV and radio who call themselves “experts”.
What a load of crap!
These guys know one thing and one thing only. Ratings. And as long as they can give you something to ring your hands over then you’ll keep tuning in. And as long as you’re tuning in – the advertisers are paying them the big bucks.
Hey, they’re marketing just like you should be. So I can’t blame them there. I just don’t want YOU to fall for the garbage just because they seem to be the authority.
Listen, I don’t know how you feel about the war or the president, and frankly it doesn’t really matter. Fact of the matter is YOU control your world and YOU control your economy.
The economy is fine.
People are inherently good.
And personal training has never been more main stream than it is today.
If you live in scarcity then you manage your life with two deadly beliefs: Fear and Greed.
Fear of success. Fear that there is not enough for everyone. And fear that you may lose what you have.
Scarcity also breeds greed. Because if you fear losing what you have then you will always be greedy with what little you’ve got. Isn’t greed one of the 7 deadly sins?
But the truth of the matter is that there is an abundance out there – for you and for me.
Sure, the negative crap brings in the ratings so they’ll keep pumping it out, but that doesn’t mean that you should believe it or worse yet live your life by it.
I hear a lot of talk these days about the law of attraction. And good on you if you subscribe to it – I certainly do.
You can attract it, craft it, think it or leave it up to God to provide it. Any way you look at it YOU have to put yourself in a position both mentally and physical to deserve it.
And if you think you can piss and moan all day long and attract abundance – good luck! You’re better off trying to lay that golden egg.
But if you let go of that negative self talk, write out a goal and take massive action toward that goal on a daily basis then abundance will find you with a quickness.
It always does.
I’ll see you next week with more ideas, tips, and strategies to take your fitness business to a whole new level (no matter what state they say the world is in).
