One of our Hitech Trainer memebers shared this little gem with me recently and I laughed when I heard it. I couldn’t believe how simple and obvious this marketing strategy is.
Here’s how it works. As it turns out the online yellow pages, like superpages.com and yellowpages.com, naturally rank high on search engines – especially for “local” searches which is exactly what you want. Often times the only way to get this online listing is to buy a full page ad in your local yellow pages.
But, with a little negotiation with the sales rep, you can easily get an online listing with the purchase of a fractional page ad. (By the way, your ad should be a lead generator.)
Since most people searching for personal trainers are searching locally, your site listing will pop up and rank high without any complicated search engine optimization or pay per click.
Sometimes it’s the easy things that are hardest to see.
